Texas college student shot and killed in Mexico

A student was killed during a bus hijacking on the bus he was riding on. The people that shot him suspected Mexican drug cratels. The student's name was Jonathon William Torres he was a 18 year old college freshman that went to the Universty of Texas. He was killed on September 30 in Matamoros.

Post office hostage-taker sentenced to 40 years

A man took three people hostage at the virginia post office. His name is Waren Aubra Taylor of Bristol, Tenn. he is a 54 year old who got sentenced for 40 years in jail for his actions. Taylor surrendered to authorities without incident or injury.

Marines in Maarjah face full blown insurgency

A young marine had one qeustion for a farmer the qeustion was have you seen any Taliban today. Then out of nowhere deadly gun fire started cracking overhead. Which started another gun fight they had controol of the town until 8 months in. The failure to pacify the town has the goverment thinking about the overall effectivness of the American startagy. There are signs that the situation in Marjah is getting better.

Dozens of oil tankers attacked in pakistan

On October first dozens of oil tankers were attacked by suspected Millitants in southern Pakistan. They had to close a major border and they had to close the Torkham border in the Northwest. Around 10 gunman attacked the oil tankers when they were parked at a ordinary truck stop on the edge of shikapur town. Luckily noone was killed or wounded.

On friday at 5A.M oficers were told to look out for a guy with a gun. later they saw the guy with the gun and opened fired on him when he refused to drop his weapon. The name of the man has not yet been released but he was taken to the hospital but his conditon is not yet known. The good news is is that no other injuries were reported.
